A native San Diegan and Navy brat, Jenny was raised in a household
with no music. She didn’t start listening to the radio until her late teens, and
didn’t start singing and writing until her twenties. She is a natural-born
storyteller, so she started writing country songs and had her own band.
Recently, however, Jenny teamed up with Southern California punk icon
Jose Cruz of Male Order Brides and Doom Kounty Electric Chair fame.
Dead Queen is an EP of Cruz’ songs, produced by Cruz along with Jenny’s
husband, Chas Ferry, who has worked with David Bowie, Iggy Pop, and
Quincy Jones. In addition to writing and recording music, Jenny is a college
professor teaching English literature.
